The primary purpose of this role is to collaborate with the Supply Chain Quality team to improve the overall quality signature and performance of assigned suppliers. This is achieved by reducing supplier escapes and customer disruptions through the deployment of targeted improvement initiatives. The role provides strategic direction for systems, projects, and programs within its area of expertise, while contributing to business objectives by delivering expected results. It also offers multidisciplinary guidance and support to team members and is recognized as a subject matter expert in the field. This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Field of study: Manufacturing, Engineering, Aerospace, or Quality
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
  • Experience with FMEA and PPAP methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Six Sigma or other continuous improvement principles

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and synthesize data to identify key contributors and systemic issues leading to product escapes and customer disruptions
  • Engage suppliers in defining and deploying corrective actions and strategies to eliminate escapes and customer issues
  • Lead the team through various phases (data analysis, prioritization, event planning, etc.)
  • Drive actions to closure and ensure expected results are achieved
  • Monitor progress and provide regular status updates
  • Address roadblocks and escalate issues when required
  • Plan and lead process reviews and other relevant activities at supplier sites
  • Drive process maturity (stability and repeatability)
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure required support is provided
