About The Position

As a Team Leader - Water Treatment, you will play a key technical, human, and strategic role within our team located between the Laval and Quebec City offices. Reporting to the Director - Water Treatment (Quebec), you will actively contribute to the realization of major municipal projects while ensuring the mobilization, performance, and development of your team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Water Engineering.
  • Master's degree in Water Treatment (an asset).
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in water treatment, including design and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership focused on collaboration and mobilization.
  • Strong skills in planning, priority management, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French.
  • Professional, rigorous approach oriented towards quality and results.

Responsibilities

  • Assume a key technical role as a design engineer, project manager, and/or discipline lead on water treatment mandates.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by respecting services offered, deliverables, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Carry out studies, plans, and specifications for municipal projects (wastewater treatment plants, drinking water production plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, retention basins, etc.).
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the work of the project team, including interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Supervise, mentor, and mobilize the design team's engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure the daily management of the team: workload, priorities, short and medium-term utilization.
  • Participate in the department's strategic decisions, the preparation of service offers, and team development (recruitment).
  • Approve timesheets and expense reports and actively contribute to resource optimization.
