About The Position

Vet et Nous is a multidisciplinary team composed of veterinarian both generalists and specialists operating at high rank whose mission is to take care of client’s pets as if they were our own. Our teams are split in 3 emergency and reference centres open 24/7 and several general practice hospitals and clinics in the greater Montreal, Laval, Montérégie, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean and Quebec region. As the first person responsible on the floor, you play an indispensable role within your team. Supported by the manager, you ensure the smooth running of operations and actively apply our work methods, health and safety rules, and provide exemplary service. This is a permanent, full-time position with a variable schedule, including day and evening shifts, depending on the operational needs of the establishment.

Requirements

  • Experience as an animal health technician on the floor is required
  • Good sense of organization and observation
  • Good teamwork

  • Mastery of spoken and written French

Responsibilities

  • Supervise technical team members
  • Manage team members on a daily basis (floor supervision, respond to questions/dissatisfactions in person or by email, etc.)
  • Monitor the work progress of new employees and make necessary corrections
  • In collaboration with the manager, identify training needs and plan them to keep the technical team's skills up-to-date
  • Develop and modify protocols for the smooth operation of your teams
  • Identify, train, and motivate key players on your team and manage succession planning
  • Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of equipment
  • Participate in meetings or training sessions to acquire knowledge that can be useful in answering client and employee questions
  • Ensure good communication with your team and your manager
  • Perform other related tasks
