About The Position
Cedar Creek, a Lifespark Senior Living Community in East Bethel, is seeking a Chef/Cook to join its growing team. Cedar Creek is a 70-unit apartment-style community that provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services. The community describes its team as fun, caring, and passionate, and invites team members to help seniors “Age Magnificently.” The Chef/Cook prepares food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. This is a full-time morning-shift role, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with every other weekend included. The stated wage range is $17.50–$22.50.
Requirements
- Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, residents’ families, and employees.
- Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a senior living setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and meals according to planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature-control procedures.
- Direct and assist with cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils.
- Check trays for menu and diet requirements, preferences, and accuracy.
- Ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
- Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed according to established procedures.
