About The Position
The Tower Sealer Palletizer works in the Cheese department rotating between three workstations: bagging finished cheese blocks, sealing of the cheese package and palletizing finished product.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage
- Perform work independently as required
- Perform necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenance
- Knowledge with machines, tools, equipment and Lock out Tag out
Responsibilities
- Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
- Operate a forklift, moving cheese from production area to the warehouse cooler
- Run Beta Vac / bag sealer with no leakers
- Weigh blocks, place label tickets on blocks and boxes
- Operate and validate metal detector
- Operate boxer and palletizer (Robot)
- Tower operation
- Maintain operating records (Block Counts)
- Perform necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenance
- Master sanitation as needed
