About The Position

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic After-School Cheer & Dance Instructors to lead fun and engaging cheer and dance enrichment programs for elementary-aged students in Baltimore, MD. This is a part-time, after-school position, Monday through Friday, with sessions lasting 1.5 hours. The role involves leading age-appropriate cheer motions, dance techniques, rhythm, coordination, and teamwork in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment. No lesson planning is required as the curriculum, music, and equipment are provided. This role offers a flexible afternoon schedule, a consistent weekly schedule, and opportunities for advancement within BBA Afterschool.

Requirements

Comfortable working with students in grades K–5
Reliable transportation to schools throughout Baltimore County
Dependable and punctual
Positive and energetic attitude
Must successfully complete the required Baltimore County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting process

Nice To Haves

Cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, fitness, or coaching experience preferred but not required
Experience working with children is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead engaging cheer and dance sessions for elementary students
Follow BBA's structured curriculum and activities
Teach age-appropriate cheer motions, dance techniques, rhythm, coordination, and teamwork
Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Supervise groups of approximately 15–25 students
Encourage confidence, creativity, participation, and positive sportsmanship
Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership
