About The Position

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring enthusiastic, dependable, and energetic After-School Sports Coaches to lead fun and engaging Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football programs for elementary-aged students in Baltimore, MD. This is a great opportunity for experienced coaches, former athletes, teachers, youth sports instructors, college students, or anyone who enjoys working with children and helping them develop confidence, teamwork, and athletic skills. This is a part-time, after-school position with a flexible afternoon schedule, offering consistent weekly sessions. The role involves leading 1.5-hour sessions Monday through Friday, with no weekends or lesson planning required, as curriculum and equipment are provided. Coaches may lead one or more sports programs including Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football. This role offers a chance to make a positive impact, build leadership and coaching experience, and work in a fun and supportive environment.

Requirements

• Comfortable working with students in grades K–5
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Baltimore County
• Dependable and punctual
• Positive and energetic attitude
• Must successfully complete the required Baltimore County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting process

Nice To Haves

• Experience in multiple sports is a plus
• Experience playing or coaching sports is preferred but not required
• Experience working with children is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging sports sessions for elementary students
• Teach age-appropriate fundamentals and skills
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behavior
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and activities
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Supervise groups of approximately 15–25 students
• Encourage participation, confidence, and skill development
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership
