About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers at the checkout. Key responsibilities include accurately checking out customer purchases, identifying and processing produce and product codes, distinguishing and processing various types of coupons, collecting correct payment, and maintaining cash security. The role also involves bagging customer orders and performing routine register maintenance.

Requirements

Candidates MUST be available until 10pm and weekends to be considered.
Must be 18 years or older to apply.
Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates.
Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates.
Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Nice To Haves

Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
Greet customers prior to checking their order
Check out customer’s purchases accurately
Identify and know produce items and be able to properly use produce and product codes
Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons
Process manufacturer coupons
Collect correct amount due from customer
Use proper procedure of accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers and other payment options
Complete register record accurately
Practice and maintain cash security
Bag customer orders
Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes
