About The Position
This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers, accurately checking out their purchases, and handling various payment methods. The role requires regular, reliable attendance and the ability to identify and process produce items and coupons. Training will be provided at the store level.
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Ability to identify and know produce items and be able to properly use produce and product codes
- Ability to distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons
- Ability to process manufacturer coupons
- Ability to collect correct amount due from customer
- Proficiency in using proper procedure for accepting various payment options (cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers)
- Ability to complete register record accurately
- Ability to practice and maintain cash security
- Ability to bag customer orders
- Ability to change register receipt and coupon machine tapes
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
- Manager approval based on performance if invited for an interview
