About The Position
Checkers at Nugget Market provide a world-class service experience by going above and beyond guest service expectations. They interact with diverse guests in a courteous and professional manner in a fun atmosphere. Individual hourly rates are based on factors including experience, location, and length of employment. The role includes scanning and bagging purchases, operating the cash register, maintaining checkout areas, helping guests find items, and assisting with store upkeep.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to memorize and quickly recall information.
- Basic understanding of English, including the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules, and signage.
- Basic problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Positive and outgoing personality.
Responsibilities
- Scan items quickly and efficiently.
- Operate the cash register accurately and follow cash-handling procedures.
- Clean and stock checkout stands.
- Memorize produce codes.
- Provide world-class service to guests.
- Bag guest purchases according to proper bagging techniques.
- Assist guests in finding items throughout the store.
- Help maintain the appearance of the store by conducting store-wide sweeps and bathroom checks.
- Respond to cleanup calls.
- Retrieve carts from the parking lot during downtime.
