About The Position

Completes diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop under limited supervision. We are looking for a talented Chassis Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Ocala, FL). We offer sign - on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits! You will make an impact in the following ways: Complete complex repairs on chassis and chassis components in a service workshop Disassemble, clean, and inspect chassis and related components Perform preventive maintenance based on chassis and component assessments Assist experienced technicians with diagnostics and the development of repair plans Use mechanical and electronic diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues Complete required service documentation, including work orders, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality documents Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures Complete ongoing training and development based on business and skill requirements Maintain tools and the work area for cleanliness and proper operation

Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products
  • Experience repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic software and electronic service tools
  • Understanding of engine systems, including electrical, mechanical, fuel, exhaust, cooling, driveline, aftertreatment, controls, and sensors
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, follow documented repair procedures, and escalate technical concerns when necessary
  • Strong service documentation, communication, customer focus, safety awareness, and adaptability
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
  • Apprentice-trained technician preferred
  • Locally valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • CDL is beneficial but not required.
