About The Position

New York Road Runners (NYRR) is seeking a Charity Program Coordinator to support the Charity Program Team. This role involves managing relationships with Official Charity Partners and planning and executing activations for these partners around major NYRR events like the TCS New York City Marathon and United Airlines NYC Half. NYRR is a leading community running organization dedicated to building healthier lives and stronger communities through running. They offer a wide range of programs and events for hundreds of thousands of people and are committed to youth fitness in underserved communities. Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact in a professional and friendly way with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends or evenings.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • All staff are required to work the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon, RBC Brooklyn Half Marathon, and the TCS NYC Marathon.
  • Operate on a hybrid schedule, with two days per week in the NYRR office in NYC.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at or with non-profits a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or NetSuite preferred.
  • Knowledge of the New York City running community and run clubs.
  • Familiar with NYC communities across all five boroughs.
  • Ability to speak another language strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support contracting and invoicing of Charity Partners, including creating, sending, tracking, and updating Sales Force database.
  • Support account set-up and maintenance in NYRR registration system.
  • Assist with planning and provide event support at special events surrounding the TCS New York City Marathon.
  • Provide customer service support to charity partners and runners through email, phone, and in-person at events.
  • Support development of program materials such as user guides and newsletters.
  • Provide general program support as needed.
