About The Position

We partner with charitable organizations to raise awareness of their programs and create meaningful community impact. We are seeking a motivated Charity Fundraising Assistant to join our growing team. This role is the first point of contact for the Fundraising and Marketing & Communications teams, handling donor interactions, database management, and supporting a variety of fundraising initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates who are passionate about philanthropy, eager to learn, and want hands-on experience in fundraising, donor relations, and nonprofit marketing. Paid training and mentorship are provided.

Requirements

Passion for fundraising and community impact; experience is a plus but not required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Energetic, creative, and proactive “can-do” attitude
Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for all internal and external fundraising inquiries
Provide a high standard of customer care, ensuring timely acknowledgment of donors
Work with management and communications teams to prepare and send accurate, engaging donor communications
Support fundraising and promotional events, including planning, logistics, and on-site assistance
Maintain and update the donor database, including training colleagues and ensuring accurate data entry
Administer data input, amendments, reports, and queries as required
Assist the fundraising team in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
Stay informed on fundraising initiatives and sector news
Introduce new ideas and initiatives, taking ownership of assigned tasks
