Charge RN Medical Inpatient FT Nights
About The Position
Seeking a Charge Nurse for the 3AC Medical Inpatient Innovation Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time (36 hours weekly) night shift position (7pm-7am). This entry-level leadership role is responsible for coordinating care during designated shifts, providing leadership to unit staff in patient care, and working alongside the team to provide direct patient care. The Charge RN will also determine staffing fluctuations, respond to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues, and coordinate patient flow. The Innovation Unit is a 44-bed medical-surgical unit that pilots new ideas and cares for a wide range of medical diagnoses and conditions. It serves as an opportunity for new graduates and experienced nurses alike.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN
- Current Indiana or compact state RN License.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
- One year of nursing experience required.
- Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.
