About The Position
Seeking a Charge Nurse for the 3AC Medical Inpatient Innovation Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) on the night shift (7pm-7am) and is benefit-eligible. A sign-on bonus is available for experienced external candidates. The Charge Nurse acts as a resource, coordinating care during designated shifts and providing leadership in patient care. This role involves direct patient care, determining staffing needs, responding to departmental concerns, addressing staff issues, and coordinating patient flow. The position has immediate oversight of employees performing similar work. The Innovation Unit (3AC) is a 44-bed medical-surgical unit that pilots new ideas and cares for a wide range of medical diagnoses and conditions. It's an opportunity for new graduates and experienced nurses alike.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN
- Current Indiana or compact state RN License.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
- One year of nursing experience required.
- Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.
Responsibilities
