About The Position

The Charge Registered Nurse uses theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice and assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice. This position is in the Surgical Observation Unit and is listed for days.

Requirements

• Graduation from a school of nursing with an Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN.
• Maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure for the state where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
• One or more unit- or position-specific certifications may be required, or may need to be acquired within the department's required timeframe.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
