About The Position

The Charge Nurse role will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team. Valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion is a key strategy of teamwork at Texas Health. This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed. Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

Requirements

Associate's Degree Nursing Required
1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting Required
RN - Registered Nurse License Required Upon Hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days Required
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
2 Years’ Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting Preferred
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Preferred
