The Charge-Off Collector is responsible for recovering charged-off accounts by negotiating payment arrangements, settlements, and payment plans. This role involves contacting consumers, utilizing skip tracing to locate hard-to-reach individuals, and ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while delivering professional and customer-focused experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Handle inbound and outbound calls with consumers and authorized third parties Negotiate payments, settlements, and repayment plans Resolve account issues and address consumer concerns or disputes Use skip tracing tools to locate consumers with outdated contact information Maintain a professional, empathetic, and customer-focused approach Educate consumers on account status and resolution options Recommend accounts for legal review when appropriate Prepare and send account-related correspondence Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of FDCPA and collection regulations Strong communication and negotiation skills Professional phone and basic computer skills Ability to manage difficult conversations and remain composed Detail-oriented with strong decision-making skills Ability to prioritize and work a flexible schedule Team-oriented with the ability to work independently This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as Management may deem necessary from time to time.
