About The Position
Pacific Endo Surgical Center is hiring a OR Charge Nurse, Full Time. At Pacific Endo-Surgical Center, we believe health and care are inseparable. Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing.
- Three (3) year's experience in perioperative area.
- Current California RN License
- BLS and ACLS required
- Independent decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families and vendors.
- Knowledgeable of ASC policies and procedures specific to the department.
Nice To Haves
- Baccalaureate degree preferred or work-related experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the clinical staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.
- Assists in coordination of daily/weekly case scheduling to ensure the schedule will flow smoothly.
- Prepares staffing schedules.
- Prepare, coordinate and perform monthly staff meetings for all departments.
- Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency and smooth case flow.
- Reviews equipment needed for cases.
- Coordinate inventory request with the material manager.
- Assists with education by coordinating and/or giving in-services.
- Communicate with physicians to resolve equipment or instrument issues by coordinating ordering or getting repairs done.
- Communicate with vendors and representatives for supplies, equipment or instruments that are needed for cases.
- Works closely with Materials and Sterile Processing Dept to coordinate supplies & instrument needs.
- Assists in preparing annual evaluations
- Works closely with manager/administrator with hiring and orienting clinical staff members
- Assistance in maintaining compliance for AAAHC surveys
- Enters company data collections and observations with company data system.
- Assistance with staff counseling as necessary
- Coordinates and assists in Performance Improvement Projects.
