About The Position

Cura of Melrose is seeking a Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide essential nursing care under the supervision of Registered Nurses and physicians. The role focuses on delivering safe, effective, personalized care and promoting patient comfort and well-being. Duties include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, documenting care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal health outcomes. The position works overnight shifts of 12 hours, with every third weekend and holidays included in the rotation. The posting lists an hourly rate of $27.75–$40, plus shift differentials of $3 for evening shifts and $4 for overnight shifts. A sign-on bonus is offered: up to $1,500 for full-time or $750 for part-time.

Requirements

• Hold a valid and current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Complete an accredited nursing program.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Be able to work under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Be flexible to work 12-hour shifts, every third weekend, and holidays as part of the rotation.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Strong knowledge of nursing care practices, medication administration, and patient safety protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing care, including monitoring vital signs, administering injections, and managing wound care.
• Assist with patient assessments and promptly report changes in patient status to Registered Nurses or physicians.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Document nursing care and patient information accurately and promptly.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and healthcare regulations.
