This is a 0.8 FTE (64 hours per two-week pay period) position with 8-hour day shifts (flexible schedule) and no weekends. Someone with attention to detail and strong communication skills is strongly preferred.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
0 to 2 years of medical terminology experience

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED
Associate's or Vocational degree in business, health care, or related field
0 to 2 years of billing experience
0 to 2 years of business office experience
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Ensures charges are captured in an appropriate and timely manner.
Reviews, calculates, and enters charges in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Examines financial reports for accuracy edits.
Processes and completes charge entry.
Ensures charges are compliant with federal regulations.
May assist with audits.
Other duties as assigned.
