About The Position

Reporting to the Assistant Senior Director - Materials Engineering, the Project Manager will act as a Project Manager for Groupe ABS inc. The Intermediate Project Manager participates in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of expertise and rehabilitation projects for concrete structures (bridges, viaducts, dams, parking lots, port structures, etc.). They coordinate technical activities related to identifying concrete pathologies, propose durable repair solutions, and ensure follow-up on interventions, in collaboration with internal and external specialists. Their primary responsibility will be to ensure the planning of works and the necessary follow-ups for project execution.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of three (3) years as a full-fledged engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
Relevant experience in expertise on concrete structures or relevant university research project
Proficiency in French, both oral and written
ASP construction card (possibility to complete after hiring)
Valid driver's license
Proficiency in MS Office suite software

Master's degree in a field related to their expertise (an asset)

Responsibilities

Responsible for the success of assigned projects, from planning to invoicing
Ensure work planning and follow-up of ongoing projects (schedule and budget)
Coordinate project execution on various construction sites
Supervise the quality of work performed by site technicians
Validate and compile test results from the site and laboratory
Participate in various field investigations, inspections, and tests (when required)
Draft and approve technical reports
Inform clients and their superior about the progress of work and maintain excellent customer service
Monitor project budgets
Attend project meetings (via Microsoft TEAMS or in person)
