About The Position

We are seeking a Project Manager for the contaminated sites team to work on various projects primarily associated with the environmental characterization and rehabilitation of sites. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing projects in environmental characterization and rehabilitation of contaminated sites, demonstrating strong technical and administrative skills, as well as market analysis and strategic consulting capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental engineering, geological engineering, civil engineering, or any other environmental specialty.
  • 8-10 years of experience in environmental site characterization and rehabilitation.
  • Excellent knowledge of Quebec and federal regulations, as well as environmental best practice guides.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and ASP Construction card.
  • Remarkable autonomy, analytical and synthesis skills, and strong adaptability.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Ontario regulations.
  • Experience in preparing authorization requests or interactions with the MELCCFP.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all stages of site environmental assessments (ESAs) – Phases I and II – as well as contaminated land rehabilitation work.
  • Collaborate closely with WSP's coordinators, project managers, engineers, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams (civil, transport, geotechnical, biology, impacts, etc.).
  • Develop work plans and prepare tender documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, and ensure coordination among all parties.
  • Plan, manage, and control the technical, financial, and administrative objectives of projects.
  • Lead field personnel and ensure rigorous site monitoring, including health and safety compliance.
  • Manage a portfolio of active clients (consulting engineering, developers, municipalities, government departments) and maintain a high level of satisfaction.
  • Identify project opportunities related to contaminated site management (characterization, rehabilitation, valorization).
  • Analyze and interpret data, draft or revise technical reports, manage data, and ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Train junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing.
