About The Position

Devs.ai, an AI incubator within AppDirect, is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a highly motivated individual to join as their first Account Executive. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the Founder and General Manager, significantly shaping the business unit's growth and culture. The Account Executive will be responsible for identifying potential clients, building strong relationships, and guiding them through their AI journey. This position requires a deep understanding of the B2B AI market, strong business acumen, and a consultative sales approach. The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding client needs and aligning them with Devs.ai's platform solutions. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with diverse audiences, from technical analysts to senior executives, in a fast-paced environment. Devs.ai is AppDirect's fastest-growing business unit, focused on an agentic AI platform for enterprises, within the broader context of AppDirect's leadership in B2B subscription commerce platforms.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a sales representative and/or account executive within a software solutions company, with a track record of exceptional performance, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science required.
  • Excellent ability to present compelling value propositions and attractive ROI in complex environments to a wide range of stakeholders, including technical experts and senior executives.
  • Good knowledge of the AI industry in the B2B context: you don't need to be an engineer, but you must be able to confidently present AI products and their practical applications.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, from initial contact to contract signing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; you know how to simplify a complex solution into a clear and impactful sales pitch, aligned with the client's objectives.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment where priorities change and strategy is still being defined.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, reputation for integrity and responsibility, and excellent ethical sense within a team context.
  • Good knowledge of English is required as the selected candidate will need to collaborate with teams located in the United States, India, Argentina, as well as in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta, among others.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in our messaging, products, services, and unique sales approach by completing AppDirect's in-depth onboarding and sales training.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities; drive the entire sales process while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Sell AppDirect's Devs.ai platform and, in parallel, identify cross-selling opportunities for AppDirect's full suite of products and services in collaboration with sales specialists.
  • Implement a sector/territory plan to ensure continuous growth in your sector and to exceed your monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Coordinate necessary internal resources to close new business opportunities.
  • Represent AppDirect to clients, traveling as needed and interacting at all levels of the organization.
  • Prepare presentations and advise clients and potential clients on best practices for digital commerce.
