Chargé de projet - Équipe Produit

STAS Inc.Saguenay, QC
Hybrid

About The Position

STAS is a global leader in providing equipment to improve aluminum production and quality. Our purpose is to accelerate the progress of industrial sector producers to have a positive and lasting impact on society. Do you want to play an active role in innovation, concrete challenges, a human and lively corporate culture, and be part of a globally recognized team? To achieve our destiny, we are looking for individuals aligned with the values that drive us: IMPACT (Making a difference and making sense), AUDACITY (Daring, transforming), PASSION (Inspiring, excelling, energy), and TOGETHER (Collective success, transversal)! The Project Manager in the Product team plans, executes, and closes projects for product development and continuous improvement of the STAS portfolio. Unlike a project manager focused on client delivery, this role operates within an internal development context: the Product Manager leads the business case, strategy, and pre-study, then the Project Manager takes charge of execution, validation, pre-commercialization, and transfer to sales. They must deliver with shared resources across multiple business priorities and work with external partners who exert significant pressure on deadlines to support market launch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, or a related field with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in product development, industrialization, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the manufacturing sector; the aluminum industry, product development environments, and launch dynamics are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and close PMC projects for new product development, improvement of existing products, or pre-commercialization.
  • Mobilize and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams with shared resources.
  • Manage the budget, schedule, resources, and overall progress, taking into account competing priorities.
  • Manage risks, scope changes, external dependencies, and validation and market launch issues.
  • Ensure organizational communication, alignment with external partners, and transfer to relevant teams.

Benefits

  • Work flexibility and work-life balance
  • Regular 4.5-day work week
  • Possible 4-day condensed work schedule
  • Preferred access to a daycare (Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean)
  • Many other competitive advantages!
