About The Position

The Project Manager, Methods role involves analyzing operational needs and proposing technical solutions adapted to the manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead or support technical projects, ensuring their planning, follow-up, and coordination. This includes developing and optimizing work methods, operational standards, and coordination processes. The role requires acting as a liaison between shop-floor teams, support functions, and management, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and recommending sustainable corrective actions. Producing and maintaining clear, structured documentation useful for operations is also a key responsibility. The individual will serve as a resource person for complex technical matters and contribute to team coordination and continuity as needed.

Requirements

  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in engineering or in a discipline relevant to the position.
  • Have significant experience in a manufacturing environment, work methods, technical coordination, or project management.
  • Quickly understand technical, operational, and manufacturing challenges.
  • Demonstrate versatility, autonomy, judgment, and a strong interest in challenges.
  • Show strong communication, organizational, and priority management skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to gradually take on a broader role within the team.
  • Ability to manage technical projects, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical background in a manufacturing environment and good understanding of shop-floor operations.
  • Experience in work methods, continuous improvement, and process structuring.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of an ERP or manufacturing systems is an asset.
