About The Position

EXP is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to join its dynamic team in the Lévis office. Reporting to the Principal Director of the Soils, Materials, and Environment team, you will be responsible for geotechnical projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Knowledge of the Office suite and software such as GéoSlope, Géotec, and GéoStudio.
  • Mastery of spoken and written French.
  • Basic knowledge of English (beginner). You may occasionally need to communicate with internal partners in Canada or the United States, orally and mainly in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Geotechnics.
  • Basic knowledge in the environmental field.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with specialized professionals in geotechnical and environmental studies in the Capitale-Nationale and Chaudière-Appalaches regions.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical professionals working in EXP's Quebec offices.
  • Participate in business development in the field of geotechnics.
  • Write service offers.
  • Plan and carry out the follow-up and execution of geotechnical studies involving drilling, soil and rock sampling, installation of wells and piezometers, in-situ tests, etc.
  • Write study and expertise reports, including supervision of laboratory testing programs.
  • Specifically on a technical level, be able to calculate bearing capacities, settlements, and/or other calculation methods related to geotechnical studies.
  • Determine slope and embankment stability, perform stability analysis using software such as Geoslope.
  • Carry out technical and administrative project follow-up while maintaining good communication with clients.
  • All other tasks related to the job.
