For at least the first six months, the role focuses largely on preparing, handling, and distributing samples for primary structure studies. As training evolves, responsibilities increase to include routine and non-routine biochemical characterization analyses of monoclonal antibodies in support of pharmaceutical development activities, including peptide mapping, oligosaccharide mapping, and related routine methods. The position collects, analyzes, interprets, and reports analytical data in alignment with departmental standards and project expectations. It also maintains accurate, complete, and timely documentation of assay development, qualification, sample preparation, and data analysis, supporting reliable laboratory execution through organized recordkeeping, adherence to applicable procedures, and consistent communication of results and observations.
