Tyson Chaplains provide compassionate, spiritual care that explores Team Members’ diverse beliefs, honors their experiences, and empowers them with meaningful resources for their personal lives and careers. The role involves a consistent physical presence throughout assigned facilities, actively engaging with Team Members across all accessible work areas, and providing spiritual and emotional guidance to Team Members and their immediate families while respecting unique beliefs, values, and experiences. Chaplains maintain a judgment-free presence, inclusive of all faiths, sexual orientations, and ethnicities, and counsel distressed and bereaved individuals. They respond to critical incident situations, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with HR leadership to offer educational and social service opportunities. The position also includes hospital and home visits, appropriate presence at memorials/funerals, cultivating referral resources, writing articles/presentations, and serving as an advisor to management on matters of religion, morals/ethics, and Team Member morale. Chaplains are expected to maintain moral and ethical character and keep accurate records and reports.
