About The Position

Chaplains are frontline staff fulfilling MCHAP’s mission and Christian ministry by using their gifts and talents to serve company employees and their immediate families. Assigned hours are generally consistent week to week, but there are no guaranteed minimum hours; positional needs vary depending on chaplain availability and client requirements. The chaplain serves as a messenger of faith, mission, and purpose and interacts with companies, employees, and the community in a manner that demonstrates character through personal and spiritual disciplines. The role involves regular visits to company worksites and providing care and support to employees and immediate family members at locations such as hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, and family residences. Chaplains may provide confidential pastoral discussions, referrals, grief support, assistance following termination, and support during serious injuries, deaths, or other crises. They may also participate in employee orientation, provide requested resources, and support spiritual enrichment activities. This is a remote, field-based position, with the work environment dependent on client worksites.
