Provides pastoral care to patients, family members, and organizational staff experiencing challenge or crisis. Responds to code blue and trauma alerts, exemplifying a calming, soothing presence. Provides education and direction in the end-of-life decisions and ethical issues upon request. Assesses and responds to the spiritual and emotional needs of those counseled, including crisis intervention and bereavement. Participates in an interdisciplinary approach to pastoral care and patient health. Documents visits and interventions appropriately according to the standards of the healthcare organization. Fosters a collaborative relationship with community clergy and faith group leaders.
