About The Position

CompScience is expanding its presence into captives and the broker channel and is seeking a Channel Sales Manager to open doors in these markets. This role involves building relationships with captive managers, brokers, and enterprise customers, with a primary focus on sales for the Active Risk Management (ARM) Platform. It is a quota-carrying, hybrid hunter/relationship position that requires a blend of networking, presenting, and closing skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable demoing AI-powered software and discussing insurance terms like loss runs. This is an opportunity for someone who understands the insurance world, enjoys client interaction, and wants to contribute to changing how companies approach safety.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in insurance, risk management, or related field (broker, carrier, captive manager)
  • Demonstrated sales or business development experience - not just account management
  • Existing relationships with captive managers or major brokers
  • Strong understanding of workers' comp, captives, and self-insured structures
  • Comfortable presenting to senior audiences and building executive relationships
  • Willingness to travel and work a startup pace

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with captive managers and brokers
  • Identify and qualify opportunities within captive and broker accounts
  • Lead sales presentations and product demos to risk management and safety audiences
  • Own strategic account planning and pipeline development
  • Travel to conferences, broker offices, and client sites (~15% travel)
  • Coordinate with internal teams on pilot deployments and customer onboarding
  • Build a repeatable playbook for the captive/broker market segment
