To perform required tasks as part of the changeover team to ensure quick and timely changeovers, always working toward reducing changeover times and improving the PPH of departments. Assist the manufacturing departments, by working along with setup men, maintenance and engineering to achieve short and long term goals, such as production requirements, quality, scrap quotas, etc. Assist in training other setup men or associates when necessary. Plan for future changeovers by maintaining all tooling for upcoming changeovers; also make arrangements with maintenance for possible fab tech changes that might need to be made. Maintain all c/o records and documentation as needed. Assist engineers and technicians in scheduling and performing tooling pm’s and the time needed for the retooling. Make sure all pm’s are done in a correct and timely manner. Train other associates on how to do pm’s when and if necessary. Maintain all necessary paperwork. Record and maintain changeover team’s activities for tracking and reporting improvements. Work with Kaizen Team to meet constant improvement objectives. Utilize Jishyken, Tachinbo, Yarjimai or other tools to meet improvement targets. Support 5-S, Koyo Production System (KPS), TS16949 and ISO14000 efforts throughout the plant. Other duties as assigned.
