About The Position

Peraton’s Cyber Mission supports the United States Air Force by delivering mission-critical Cyber professionals who defend our nation’s security. Our team of experts provides innovative engineering, logistics, sustainment, and customer support to ensure the functionality of network infrastructure, while addressing the most complex cyber operations and national defense challenges. Peraton is seeking a Change Manager /Tech Writer to support our mission to defend and protect our national security.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Experience with documentation platforms
  • Understanding of data and analytics concepts
  • Change management experience
  • Ability to translate technical content for various audiences
  • U.S Citizenship required
  • DoD TS SCI or ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Technical writing certifications / education
  • DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 411 requirements, including holding an approved baseline certification and meeting all KSAs for managing, monitoring, and maintaining DoD gateway and boundary systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or related field
  • DoD TS SCI clearance

Responsibilities

  • Leading the end-to-end change management process and ensuring the successful delivery of all contract requirements.
  • Oversees risk and knowledge management functions for the program, including identifying, tracking, mitigating, and reporting risks, as well as establishing processes to capture, organize, and disseminate critical program information.
  • Manages technical writing activities by defining resource requirements, assigning task owners, and tracking milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of process documentation, ensuring all materials meet high standards of quality, accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
  • Establishing and enforcing documentation guidelines, standards, and procedures, maintaining documentation schedules, and ensuring all documentation is prepared in final form and delivered on time.
  • Incorporates the development and tracking of documentation and process metrics to measure quality, timeliness, and effectiveness.
  • Serving as the final editorial authority, the Change Manager / Technical Writer ensures consistency in format, tone, and compliance across all documents.
  • Involves creating clear, user-friendly documentation from technical input provided by subject matter experts and reviewing materials produced by technical staff to ensure alignment with established standards and best practices.
