About The Position

This is an onsite co-op position for Summer/Fall 2027, focused on the CH-53K program within RTX. The role involves learning and participating in requirements capture, decomposition, allocation, and testing for AMS cockpit avionics. Interns will work within an Agile development team and gain experience in platform systems engineering activities, from initial requirements to supporting fielded products. The position requires U.S. citizenship due to access to program information.

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Basic experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM tool suite
Basic experience working within an aerospace related engineering development environment
Basic experience or knowledge of engineering/technology requirements capture and configuration management tools
Basic experience or an educational background covering requirements capture & definition, integration, verification & validation testing

Responsibilities

Learn requirements capture and peer review for AMS cockpit avionics for CH-53K program
Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace
Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements
Participate in on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases)
Collaborate within an Agile-based development team of professional engineers
