About The Position

This cooperative education program offers a unique opportunity to explore the aerospace and defense industry at RTX. Interns will learn from and collaborate with experienced professionals, working on complex problems and advancing their skills to contribute to a safer, more connected world. The role focuses on the CH-53K program, providing a foundation in platform systems engineering activities from initial requirements capture to supporting fielded products, all within an Agile development environment.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Basic experience with DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM tool suite
  • Basic experience working within an aerospace related engineering development environment
  • Basic experience or knowledge of engineering/technology requirements capture and configuration management tools
  • Basic experience or an educational background covering requirements capture & definition, integration, verification & validation testing

Responsibilities

  • Learn requirements capture and peer review for AMS cockpit avionics for CH-53K program
  • Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace
  • Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements
  • Participate in on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases)
  • Collaborate within an Agile-based development team of professional engineers
