Systems Engineering Co-op - Systems Integration (Summer/Fall 2027) - Onsite
About The Position
This co-op position in Systems Integration offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of aerospace and defense. Interns and co-ops at RTX gain an exceptional foundation to work on complex problems, advance their skills, and contribute to a safer, more connected world. This role focuses on building system configuration tables, identifying inputs and tools from system requirements to enable end-to-end communication and application runtime environments. The co-op will also configure and build system field-loadable software for civil-certified military aircraft and assist engineers in producing and reviewing engineering documents for FAA audits. Throughout the program, participants will learn about the artifacts for system configuration for Collins avionics hardware, the protocols used on networks and buses between systems and subsystems in avionics solutions, and the DO-178B software certification process.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Systems or Aerospace Engineering, or a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics major.
- Must be actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

- Experience working with teams of engineers in multiple disciplines (system, electrical, software)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
