This is a part-time, non-benefited position for current UND students with work-study eligibility. The role is an integral part of the Chester Fritz Library (CFL) Outreach Team, focusing on coordinating the CFL Gaming Space, creating engaging events and programming, promoting library services, and developing partnerships. While many events target student success, engagement, and wellness, the outreach activities serve a broad audience. Successful candidates will be flexible and able to support various roles, with potential specialization in tabletop/video gaming, Tech & Tools, or outreach activities. Gaming or event planning experience is not required. The position involves planning and staffing outreach events (including evenings and weekends), providing student and technical support in the Gaming Space, staffing the CFL Administrative Suite reception desk, and developing marketing materials. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, communicative, good at planning, comfortable initiating conversations, leading activities, and working in teams. Responsibilities include event planning and execution, partner outreach, program coordination (setup, cleanup, attendance, guest assistance), and developing new outreach concepts. A typical day might involve hosting a promotional table, working in the Gaming Space, distributing flyers, or planning/setting up events. Examples of supported events include CFL Finals Café, therapy dogs, high school tours, and crafting events. Work schedules are flexible and determined by mutual agreement based on activity requirements, with potential for summer hours.
