This is a part-time, non-benefited position for current UND students with work-study eligibility. The role is an integral part of the Chester Fritz Library (CFL) Outreach Team, focusing on coordinating the CFL Gaming Space, creating engaging events and programming, promoting library services, and developing partnerships. While outreach targets a broad audience, many events support student success, engagement, and wellness. Successful candidates will be flexible and able to support various roles, with potential specialization in tabletop/video gaming, Tech & Tools, or outreach activities. Gaming or event planning experience is not required. The position involves planning and staffing outreach events (including evenings and weekends), providing technical support in the Gaming Space, staffing the CFL Administrative Suite reception desk, and developing marketing materials for student engagement. Creativity, organization, effective communication, and planning skills are essential, as is comfort in initiating conversations, leading activities, and teamwork. Responsibilities include event execution from planning to setup, cleanup, attendance tracking, and guest assistance. A typical day might involve promoting CFL at campus events, working in the Gaming Space, distributing flyers, or planning/setting up library events. Opportunities exist to pitch and plan new outreach concepts. Work schedules are flexible and determined by mutual agreement based on activity requirements. Summer hours may be available.
