About The Position
Manufacturing company that makes fabricated steel assemblies needs Certified Welding Inspectors, also called CWI. This is a day shift position. This job is in Lamar, South Carolina. You will be responsible for onsite testing and inspection of manufactured products designed to support heavy loads. All necessary testing and personal protection equipment will be provided by the company. Should be experienced in inspection and test of structures and welds.
Requirements
- Certified Welding Inspector with at least three years’ experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office software.
Nice To Haves
- Non Destructive Testing Inspector / Nondestructive evaluation (NDE Technician) experience
- Experience with Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Visual, and Ultrasonic inspection (NDI) preferred.
- Experience in construction, civil engineering, defense, marine, or aerospace experience.
Responsibilities
- Onsite testing and inspection of manufactured products designed to support heavy loads.
- Inspection and test of structures and welds.
- Identify components having cracks, corrosion, faulty welds, or other defects that would affect structural integrity.
- Read and understand engineering drawings or blueprints.
- Produce reports in desired formats.
