The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of welded structures and components by conducting thorough inspections and tests. Requirements

  • Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS)
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in welding inspection and quality control.
  • Proficiency in non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and social skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications in NDT methods.
  • Experience with automated welding inspection systems.
  • Familiarity with welding software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections of welded joints and structures to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
  • Review and interpret welding procedures, codes, and standards.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings.
  • Collaborate with welding personnel to address and resolve any issues or defects.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions and improvements to welding processes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during inspections.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in welding technology.
