About The Position

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Certified Welder to join its safety-conscious swing shift team in the La Porte, Texas area. The role is responsible for maintenance and repair welding for specialized assets and maintaining company equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; availability to work weekends and overtime as needed is required.

The position involves welding, fitting, gouging, cutting, cleaning and inspecting component parts, performing quality control, and following drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Compensation is $34–$39 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements

• High school diploma plus specialized training or one year of college.
• Five to seven years of welding experience.
• Fabrication skills, including cutting and grinding.
• GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) certification.
• SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding/Stick Welding) certification.
• FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) certification.
• GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) certification.
• Availability to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Weld materials using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes.
• Perform basic fitting work.
• Understand raw materials, material test reports (MTRs), and electrode classifications.
• Use gouging processes, including air carbon arc, plasma arc, and oxy-fuel.
• Use cutting processes and tools, including mechanical and power tools, oxy-fuel, plasma arc, air carbon arc, and electric arc.
• Clean and inspect component parts for defects and shape.
• Perform quality control.
• Follow directions in drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Maintain and repair certified welding work for specialized assets.
• Maintain company equipment.
