About The Position

IntegriTesting is seeking an AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, safety, and integrity of critical infrastructure projects, particularly in bridge fabrication and Department of Transportation work. The position requires expertise in AWS D1.1 and D1.5 codes, along with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience. Requirements

  • Hold a current AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification
  • Maintain or qualify for Level II certification(s) in Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and/or Visual Testing (VT)
  • At least five years of bridge construction experience
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.5 welding codes
  • Provide accurate oversight and documentation
  • Consistently adhere to established procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Stay focused while working independently

Responsibilities

  • Oversee fabrication and inspection results and provide process verification for drawing & code requirements, documenting, in detail, the results and daily progress for a variety of Department of Transportation projects.
  • Prepare accurate, timely, detailed inspection reports and documentation using standardized reporting procedures and submit detailed expense reports.
  • Promote a safe work environment by following safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and properly using personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain certifications and stay current with evolving industry codes, standards, technologies, and inspection best practices.
  • Care for inspection equipment by ensuring it is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for field use.
  • Collaborate with customers and fellow certified inspectors to deliver exceptional service, share knowledge, and support successful project outcomes.
  • Travel to customer facilities across the country to perform inspections, complete reports, and represent IntegriTesting with professionalism and integrity.
