About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with a focus on surgery to join Dugan's Veterinary Hospital in Aurora, CO. Requirements

Must hold a valid Colorado CVT state license.
Experience in anesthesia & analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
Experience in dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy.
Experience in diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
Experience in nursing & triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
Experience in workflow leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.

Responsibilities

Serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset.
Work to the top of your license, following AAHA utilization guidance.
Utilize skills in anesthesia and analgesia, including IV catheterization, pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
Perform dentistry procedures such as full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy.
Conduct diagnostic procedures including high-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
Provide nursing care and triage for critical patients, including advanced wound care and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
Lead tech appointments, team huddles, and mentor assistants/externs.
Participate in a predictable weekend rotation.
