About The Position

LearnWell is dedicated to improving the lives of students facing behavioral health issues by providing on-site educational services in hospitals. For over 26 years, the company has helped school-age patients continue their education during treatment and successfully reintegrate into the classroom. This part-time, year-round position in Briarcliff Manor, NY, involves working in a residential eating disorder facility. The role requires providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients (7th-12th grade) in a small classroom setting as they undergo treatment. The teacher will plan and deliver daily lesson plans, offer individualized assistance, communicate student progress, adjust teaching strategies for student success, and maintain accurate reports.

Requirements

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• Active New York teaching license
• Comfortable working with 7th -12th grade students
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
• Reliable Transportation

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
• Provide individualized assistance to students
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports
