About The Position

For over 26 years, the organization has delivered on-site educational services in hospitals, enabling school-age patients to continue their education during treatment and successfully transition back into the classroom. With a network of more than 200 educators, LearnWell aims to create a lasting positive impact. The company is currently seeking a passionate and creative part-time teacher for a 12-month school year in Georgetown, TX. This role involves working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, offering academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting while they undergo treatment. The position requires planning and delivering daily lesson plans, providing individualized student assistance, communicating student progress, adjusting teaching strategies for student success, and maintaining accurate attendance and session reports. Class sizes typically range from 8-15 school-age patients.
Requirements
- B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Texas teaching license
- Comfortable working with K-12 students
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
- Reliable Transportation
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
- Provide individualized assistance to students
- Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
- Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate attendance and session reports
