About The Position
SCA Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for Blue Ridge Day Surgery Center. The CST functions as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures, cleans and prepares surgical instruments for processing, and assists with cleaning and preparing procedure rooms between patients. The role also includes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- Successful completion of a BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Current Surgical Technologist certification.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas.
- Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
