About The Position

This role is for a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room Float Pool. You will act as the "right hand" to surgeons, anticipating their needs and ensuring the correct instrument or supply is ready before it’s requested. You will be a critical guardian of the patient’s journey, ensuring safety, dignity, and clinical excellence. You will also take ownership of the sterile field with masterfully organized workflows, maintaining 100% accuracy in instrument and sponge counts to ensure patient safety from incision to closure.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Per TCA68-57-101(a), non-certified applicants must have at least 18 months experience as a surg technologist in the 3 years preceding May21,2007; or began the appropriate training to be a surg technologist prior to May21, 2007, & completed by May21, 2010.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
