About The Position
Central Indiana Orthopedics (CIO), part of SCA Health, is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). SCA Health supports a network of ambulatory surgical centers, specialty physician practice clinics, labs, and surgical hospitals, with a mission to care for patients, serve physicians, and improve health care. The role includes functioning as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures, handling surgical instruments, and helping clean and prepare procedure rooms. The listed pay range is USD $20.38 to $34.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- Successful completion of a BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Current Surgical Technologist certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
- Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
