About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) at Spartanburg Surgery Center on a per diem basis. The role supports operative and other invasive procedures by functioning as a scrub person, preparing and transporting instruments for decontamination, and helping clean and reset procedure rooms. Prior Surgical Technologist experience and current certification are preferred. The listed pay range is $23.00 to $31.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Successful completion of a BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
